Short Bio:

1st Generation

The company was founded in 1973 as Liberty Products Inc., by Homer and Marlene Gemmer. Homer worked for a major toy manufacture in the greater Cincinnati area and he was Supervisor of their Model Shop. He left there to start a small machine/mold shop and injection molding company to work with engineers in development of new products. They originally started their company in a small building on Liberty Street in Newport Kentucky, and continued to expand their facilities into properties surrounding the Liberty Street area. When operations growth demanded a new location the business moved to a 56,000 square foot building in Bellevue Kentucky on April 2, 1993, which is still our current location.

2nd Generation

Finding retirement desirable Homer and Marlene retired in December of 2000. Their son Jeff and his wife Janet purchased the building and business in January 2001. The name was then changed to Liberty Plastics Molding Corporation Inc. to better describe our business.

Jeff has been with the company since 1981, starting as a Mold Maker and is now president of the company. He still works with all customers on new products and is still hands on with the business.

Janet after several years as a Homemaker came on board in 1997 at ground level, running machines and 2nd operations assembly. She is now Office Manager and 2nd Operations Control Manager.

3rd Generation

Jeff Jr. as he is called “Junior” in the shop is our Plant Manager; he joined the family business in 1999. He supervises our day to day operations of production and handles maintenance on all our injection molding machines.
