Family owned since 1973
1st Generation: Founded in 1973 as Liberty Products Inc. by Homer and Marlene Gemmer, they originally started their company in a small building on Liberty Street in Newport Kentucky. Homer had worked for a major toy manufacturer in the greater Cincinnati area as Supervisor of their model shop and had left there to start a small machine/mold shop. Working with engineers to develop new products, his injection molding company continued to expand. When operations outgrew the Liberty location, the business moved to a 56,000 square foot building in Bellevue, Kentucky on April 2, 1993, where the business is still located today.
2nd Generation: Homer and Marlene retired in December of 2000 and their son Jeff Gemmer and his wife Janet purchased the building and business in January 2001. The name was then changed to Liberty Plastics Molding Corporation Inc. to better describe our business. Jeff started with the company in 1981 as a mold maker and recently retired from his role as President of the company. After several years as a homemaker, Janet came on board in 1997 at the ground level, running machines and 2nd operations assembly. Janet also recently retired in December 2022 from her role as Office Manager and 2nd Operations Manager.
3rd Generation: Jeff Jr. (“Junior”) Gemmer joined the business in 1999 and in January 2022 took over his dad’s position as President and is now functioning as our Chief Operating Officer. Jeff is also responsible for supervising our day-to-day production operations and injection molding machine maintenance.
Please contact Jeff for quotes on building molds or for quoting parts from existing ones.
In 2023, Jeff and Janet's daughter, Jaclyn Gemmer Thompson, took over Janet’s role as Chief Financial Officer. Jaclyn had previously worked for Liberty Products and Liberty Plastics Molding from 2000 to 2008 and returns to the company to focus on its daily administrative needs. She will be in charge of invoicing and payables, maintaining production documentation, and customer relations.
Please contact Jaclyn if you have a purchase order or need any other assistance.
Continuous Commitment: The Gemmer family commitment assures you continuous hands-on service that you can trust when it comes to fulfilling your present and future plastic molding needs. We feel confident that with the years of experience between Jeff Jr. and Jaclyn, will keep the company in good hands for a long time to come.
